The characters are redesigned in the style of the popular 2018 film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," making them more appealing to the youth. This tarot line aims to revive interest in these beloved characters and keep the folklore alive in modern times.
The new design of the characters, though different, the essence, personality, and story of the original characters are kept in mind, and they lead the direction of the redesign.
For example, Malin Kundang is an arrogant
and selfish character, growing up poor he left his mother to seek fortune in the city. He eventually became wealthy. However, when he returned,
he refused to acknowledge his mother.
In response, his mother cursed him to become
a stone statue, thus he is chosen to represent the wheel of fortune in the tarot. In his redesign, he is fashioned with branded clothing and jewelry to reflect his arrogant personality.
